Tesla Cybertruck fleet stuns with amazing light show at Las Vegas

A fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks recently graced Las Vegas with a stunning synchronized light show. A video of the all-electric pickup trucks’ performance was posted online on social media platform X and video-sharing site YouTube.

As noted by Tesla light show creator Simon Pollock of Xlightshows.io, the Cybertruck fleet featured in the light show video was among the vehicles that participated in a meet at Sin City. Two of the Cybertrucks that participated in the light show were quite special, as they were the pair that successfully traveled to the Arctic Ocean.

Footage of the Cybertruck fleet’s light show was stunning, as it showed the all-electric pickup trucks performing tricks in unison. Since the Cybertrucks have a powered frunk, the light show included some sequences when the vehicles would open and close their front trunks together. Some tricks involving the Cybertruck’s light bar also proved very notable.

While it is true that there have been larger and more elaborate Tesla light shows that have been performed in the past, the demonstration of the Cybertrucks at Las Vegas was impressive nonetheless. It certainly appears to have received a seal of approval from Tesla itself, with the electric vehicle maker’s official Cybertruck account on X expressing its appreciation for the light show in a post.

Tesla’s light show feature is arguably one of the most unique capabilities of the company’s electric vehicles. Initially, the feature was released as a unique Easter Egg for the Tesla Model X, but it was later rolled out for the rest of the fleet as part of the company’s Holiday Update in 2021

Unlike the Model X’s Easter Egg, which featured a specific song and light sequence, the 2021 Holiday Update allowed Tesla owners to customize their own light shows. The feature was further improved over the years, with Tesla announcing on December 2023 that light shows could now be synchronized with multiple vehicles.

Check out the Tesla Cybertruck fleet’s light show in Las Vegas in the video below.

Tesla Cybertruck reportedly hits over 400 kW at 600 kW charger in Europe

A group of Tesla enthusiasts reported something quite remarkable when they charged a Cybertruck at a brand new 600 kW charger in Bratislava, Slovakia. Images and screenshots shared from the Tesla Cybertruck’s charging session suggest that the all-electric pickup truck was able to reach a peak charging rate of 405 kW.

As noted in a report from Huntinspeed.sk, the opening of EV charging provider Ejoin’s ultra-fast 600 kW charging hub in Bratislava— the capital and largest city of Slovakia—was graced by a number of special guests. Among these was world-famous Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan, as well as Czech company Cybertruck.cz, which brought their all-electric pickup truck to the event.

As part of the ultra-fast charging hub’s launch, the Cybertruck.cz team charged their all-electric pickup truck at the 600 kW charger. Much to the pleasant surprise of the event’s attendees, the Cybertruck reportedly achieved a peak charging rate of 405 kW at a charging speed of 1,659 km/h. These results were surprising as Tesla does not advertise the Cybertruck as having a peak charging rate of over 400 kW at all.

Cybertruck. cz’s Cybertruck reportedly had 7% of its battery remaining when it connected to Ejoin’s 600 kW charger. Even with the all-electric pickup truck at 99% charge, the Cybertruck was reportedly still receiving 32 kW from the ultra-fast charging stall. These are extremely impressive, if not record-setting, figures for the Cybertruck.

The results of the Cybertruck’s charging session at Ejoin’s 600 kW charger suggest that the all-electric pickup truck is more capable than presumed. The vehicle, after all, has been heavily criticized since its launch for allegedly being less capable than other pickup trucks. This was quite unfortunate as CEO Elon Musk has maintained that the Cybertruck is Tesla’s best vehicle to date.

Considering the fact that the vehicle seems to be capable of charging at 405 kW, then perhaps there really is more to the Cybertruck than meets the eye.

Tesla launches $0 due at signing promotion for Model 3 and Model Y

With just a few weeks left in the third quarter, Tesla has launched a new incentive for customers of the Model 3 and Model Y Long Range and Performance in the United States. As per the company, customers could acquire a qualified Model 3 or Model Y and pay $0 at signing.

As noted by Tesla on the order page of the Model 3 and Model Y, the $0 due at signing promotion applies to financed vehicles when buyers apply for the $7,500 federal tax credit at point of sale OR. Customers who opt in for the $0 due at signing promotion should also expect a 2.49% APR for their vehicles’ payments for up to 60 months for a Model 3 or up to 72 months for a Model Y.

Customers who wish to get an even lower APR could instead pay a 20% downpayment for a Model Y for a loan term of 36-72 months, or a Model 3 for a loan term of 36-60 months. Buyers who pay a 20% downpayment for the Model 3 or Model Y would be getting a very attractive 1.99% APR for their purchase.

Tesla has noted, however, that the promotional rates are available for qualified buyers with good credit and who order and take delivery of a new Model 3 or Model Y by the end of Q3 2024. The company also noted in its social media post that the $0 due at signing promotion applies to new orders that were placed September 12, 2024 or later.

Tesla has promoted its new incentive on the official account of Tesla North America on social media platform X. Images shared online suggest that the electric vehicle maker is also sending messages to potential customers about the ongoing promotion. Following is the message Tesla is sending to its customers about its $0 due at delivery incentive.

$0 Due at Delivery Is Available Now

Drive home a new Model 3 today without paying any out-of-pocket expenses at delivery.

Take delivery by September 30, 2024, and get $0 due at delivery plus 2.49% APR* financing on a new qualifying Model 3 for up to 60 months when you apply the Federal Tax Credit** at point-of-sale.

Or put 20% down and get 1.99% APR* when you finance a qualifying Model 3 for up to 60 months. Prequalify or design yours to get started.

The Model 3 and Model Y are Tesla’s two best-selling vehicles, and they comprise the lion’s share of the company’s sales every quarter. Both vehicles are popular, so it would be quite interesting to see just how much the recently announced $0 due at signing promotion affects Model 3 and Model Y orders in the United States this month.
