Well another year, and another ISTS. Maxxd was there again in full force with some awesome cars including craigs awesome supercharged C2 – the only one in the country!

Current reigning TOTB and Time Attack Champions, Roger Clark Motorsport have officially announced their provisional race dates for 2009.
With so many fans hoping to see their incredible ‘Gobstopper’ Impreza in action, it should come as welcome news that they will be competing in the inaugural 2009 round at Oulton Park on April 25th. The team also plans to campaign at this years Ten Of The Best Competition at Elvington in July.
Unclear at this stage however, is whether the team can spare the time to compete in every round of the Time Attack Championship. ‘2009 is going to be a hectic year for us.’ explained current title holder Olly Clark. ‘As well as the development of over 50 new product lines this year, and our usual order book of work, I’m delighted to announce that we will also be expanding into new, much larger premises towards the end of the season, which will include many more facilities for our clients, including a full dyno set-up. As much as I’m dying to defend my titles, we have to be sensible and concentrate on the expansion of the business. Don’t worry! Once we’re up and running in our new headquarters, you can bank on me and the Gobstopper being back out there.’
Whether Olly can truly resist this temptation remains to be seen, but for now, our advice to all RCM fans everywhere is to get to Oulton Park to see the car in action. It may be your only chance this season!

Monsters are making their way to Essex, but don’t have nightmares as it’s all in the name of entertainment.
On Saturday 18th April, Arena Essex at Thurrock will host the Southern round of The UK Monster Truck Nationals. Europe’s most famous names in monster trucking will be racing in head-to-head car-crushing action, including ‘Red Dragon’, ‘Swamp Thing’, ‘Slingshot’, plus current European Champion ‘Podzilla’ and local favourite ‘Crusher’.
In addition to the racing, there will also be a full round of monster freestyle, where all the trucks impress the crowd with wild jumps and stunts including ‘Sky Wheelies’, ‘Cyclones’ and ‘Donuts’.
If that isn’t enough, the event will also feature one of Europe’s top motorcycle stunt riders ‘Flyin Ryan’ – the master of freestyle motocross, performing giant jumps and extreme stunts.
The grand finale will be ‘Fireforce’ – the world fastest jet dragster in action. This mind-blowing machine is capable of speeds over 300mph in just 6 seconds, and will thrill the Arena Essex crowds with a world class flame and vapour show.
Young fans will also get the opportunity to meet the drivers for autographs and photos in a pre-show pit party from 6pm to 7pm (additional £10 fee per family).
Gates open at 6pm and the ation starts at 7.30pm. Car parking is free and admission prices are £15 for adults, just £5 for children (ages 5-15) and £35 for a family (2 adults & 2 children).
